本文对中国当代两个影响较大的翻译评论事件进行了比较，一是1995年的《红与黑》汉译讨论，二是由2004年始，一直延续到现在的村上春树的汉译争论。通过比较，我们可以发现，尽管两个翻译评论事件的缘起不同，所处的语境与背景也有诸多不同，但两个翻译评论事件究其实质都是“直译”与“意译”之争。

This thesis made a comparison between two major translation commentary events which caused major influences in the contemporary era. One of them is the 1995 discussion of Chinese translation of “The red and the black”, the other one is the dispute of Haruki Murakami’s translation of Lin. By comparison, we found out that, although the two translation commentary events had different origins, contexts and backgrounds, they were in essence the dispute of “literal translation” and ”liberal translation”.
