Interaction is the key to communication, co-operation and constructive learning in college English classroom. To great extent, the quality of interaction depends on the quality of questioning. This paper explores how to question effectively for interactive and enjoyable learning through the narrative inquiry approach. Two vivid teaching designs and their applications, changing the questioning role and experiencing Socratic questioning, are described and interpreted, through which the power of practical classroom stories is released.
