摘要
本篇作为开栏特约稿,就教师发展的战略意义,大学英语教师的学科身份,职业状况、心理状态等方面所处的主要困境进行了基本的阐述。笔者认为,近十几年来,大学英语教师在至上而下的教育改革国家行为当中获益匪浅,但受到的挑战和压力直接影响着教师的生存状态和发展态势。在未来的十年,占很大比例的中青年外语教师会成为国家可持续的教育改革创新的动力还是阻力,已经摆在研讨的首要地位。因此,很有必要对我国大学英语教师普遍存在的问题进行反思、分析、研究,以便及时找到问题的症结和解决问题的出路。
Abstract
In this column leading essay, the columnist points out the significance of teacher development in the new period and shows her concerns about the four problems in college English teacher development area. i.e. 1) lack of academic identity; 2) being tired of teaching; 3) feeling lost in mind; 4) being situated in the difficulties. She analyses the situation and calls for more attention to the issues by reflection, study and discussion.
