摘要
林语堂跨语际传播中国文化的活动是中西文化交流史上的重要事件，其系列英文著译作品的成功传播为当代中国文化走向世界提供了可资借鉴的重要参考。作为独特书写形式的编译活动是林语堂对编、译、创的会通与整合，其间体现出的“和谐”的文化观与翻译观，系统、通俗的翻译模式，中国智慧跨文化传播的“中国腔调”，以及对副文本的合理利用，特别是从国内到国际的合作形式等方面的成功经验为当代中国文化对外译介提供了诸多启示并留下了不可或缺的宝贵财富。本文从其编译活动出发，深入探讨了林语堂以上诸多方面跨语际传播中国文化的当代价值。
Abstract
Lin Yutang’s successful cross-culture dissemination of the Chinese wisdom is a typical cultural event of great significance in the world history, setting up a valuable example for today’s cultural communication between different countries. Focusing on Lin Yutang’s adaptive translation, the present paper explores Lin’s harmonious perspectives of both culture and translation, translation consisting in the integration of writing, translating and editing with the Chinese-tune pattern, systematic and popularized way of translation, effective use of the paratexts and domestic and international collaborative translation.
