摘要

进一步提高高等学校的国际化水平已经成为国内外大学的普遍共识。本文从高等教育国际化的内涵、价值取向及其对教育终极目标的回归等方面, 审视高等教育国际化的新进展;深入考察高等教育国际化新趋势的背景之下,美国等各国如何调整高等学校的外语教学,以适应全球化对于高等学校外语教育的需要。在借鉴其他 国家经验基础之上,探究我国大学外语教育如何更新观念,采取有效改革措施,促进外语教育在国 际化进程中的创新发展 。

Abstract

Both domestic and foreign universities have been aware of the importance of improving the level of internationaliza- tion of  higher education.  This paper discusses the new developments of internationalization of higher education from the aspects of its connotation ,value orientation as well as the ultimate goal ,and investigates their implications on the foreign language education. On the basis of learning from the experience of the United States  and  other  foreign  countries ,the  paper  suggests that  we  should update our understanding of language teaching and take effective ways to develop the language education creatively.
