台湾成功大学从 EGP 向 ESP 转型的启示

摘要

在高等教育国际化和经济全球化挑战下,台湾成功大学对自己原来的大学英语教学定位和内容进行了改革,开展了以提高学生用英语进行专业学习为核心的专门用途英语(ESP)教学。本文通过对该校改革的ESP课程设置、教材开发和教师建设等的介绍,阐明了大陆高校借鉴他们的经验和做法的必要性。

Abstract

The internationalization of higher education and globalization has impacted EFLT of National Cheng Kung Univer- sity ,Taiwan ,which has reformed its orientation since 2007 ,implementing ESP instruction to equip students with English skills needed in their academic studies. The paper believes ,through the introduction of their reforms — the new curriculum ,teaching materials and teacher development ,that it is important and necessary for the universities in mainland China to follow its step.
