The relationships among language learning strategies ( LLSs) ,learner autonomy ( LA) and CET 4 scores were evaluated in 212 medical students. Pearson correlation coefficients showed that the binary correlations among these three variables were significantly positive. Multiple regression analysis showed that the subscales of memory, metacognitive and cognitive strategies as well as the subscales of “Aims and Requirements”,“Goal and Planning”,and “Monitoring and Assessment”in LA significantly predicted the CET 4 scores. SEM ( structural equation model) indicated significantly positive associations of LLSs with LA and CET 4 scores, and LA with CET 4 scores
