Based on a framework integrating related ideas between cognitive linguistics and construction grammar, this paper attempts to discover and elaborate on the conceptualization and reconceptualization paths of the establishment of unconventional pairing between form-meaning. The main focus of this paper is to discover and elaborate on the conceptualization and reconceptualization paths of the establishment of unconventional pairing between existing constructions and new meanings, as well as the establishment of unconventional pairing of derivational constructions and compound constructions.
