摘要
作为具有鲜明中国特色的政治术语,“中国梦”一经提出便引起了英美等国媒体的广泛关注。本文以自建的英美等国主流报刊媒体“中国梦”新闻报道语料库为研究平台,依据批评话语分析理论,较为系统、深入地研究“中国梦”英译在英美等国的传播和接受。研究发现,尽管“中国梦”有不同译名,但英美等国媒体更倾向于应用“Chinese dream”。自正式提出以来,“中国梦”这一概念通过不同传播渠道在英美等国主流媒体中得到了有效传播。
Abstract
As a political term with Chinese characteristics, Zhongguomeng has attracted wide attention from American and British media since it was proposed by President of China Xi Jinping. This paper, in light of critical discourse analysis, investigates the dissemination and reception of the English translations of Zhongguomeng in Britain and the U.S.A., based on the use of the Corpus of British and American News Reports about Zhongguomeng. The investigation shows that the American and British media prefer to use “Chinese dream”, one of the English translations of Zhongguomeng. The concept of Zhongguomeng has been effectively disseminated through various channels in British and American media.
