Abstract

After researching into Huang’s paper and works, it is found that the “emulation method” proposed by Huang Gaoxin focuses on the exact transplant of musical forms of English poetries, highlights the borrowing function of the translated poetries and neglects the mood, charm and appreciating value of English poetry. Therefore, the function of the emulation method is exaggerated due to some translation scholars’ evaluation that the method is the only way for E-C poetry translation. Others’ statements that Mr Huang’s translated works lack aesthetic values distorts the real function of translated version.

Key words
