Abstract
Contemporary English writer Dorris Lessing’s The Grass Is Singing addresses the wasteland-like female and natural ecology in the colonized African continent, where both women and nature are subject to the tyranny of the patriarchal cultural institution and economic practices. Pitiably, women are deeply involved in the patriarchal exploitation of nature.
