This article is a review of QuantitativeCorpus Linguistics with R: A Practical Introduction by Stephan Gries. The book under review is the first monograph that gives a systematic introduction to the use of the R language in quantitative corpus linguistic research. From the methodological perspective, it is particularly singnificant for the development of linguistics or corpus linguistics. Limitations of the book are also discussed in this article.
