Abstract

“Recognizing the dynamic of conversation and exercising the own influence” indicates the two aspects of interactive communication, comprehension and expression, while the former is the base of the latter. According to the empirical study in this paper, rational use of communication strategies can play a significant role in recognizing the dynamic of conversation. Particularly, the application of check-questions and metalanguage-strategies during understanding, and the application of chunks as fillings during output can strengthen learners’ competence of recognizing the dynamic of conversation and promote the communication.
