Abstract

There are three characteristics of action research: 1) teachers’ participation; 2)cooperation; 3)problem-solving and situation-improving. The design of this action research framework is based on Altrichter’s action-reflection circulation theory, Lewin’s spiral model, McDonough & McDonough’s seven-step model as well as Shi’s five-step model. The action research achieves its targets by going through following stages: initial plan; brainstorming, questionnaires, hypothesis setting;action plan and strategies design;implementation; evaluation/reflection; action plan improvement; second-stage implementation; and final improvement.
