Based on an action research on the project-based translation teaching ( PBTT) ，this paper explores the signifi- cances as well as the problems of PBTT in Chinese translation teaching and practice ，and advocates two countermeasures-the sci- entific Industry-Academy-Research chain and an open model of PBTT．
