Abstract

As the pioneering effort in applying sociological theories to translation studies, the book Applying Luhmann to Translation Studies: Translation in Society systematically constructs translation as a social system from the perspective of Lumann's Social System Theory ( SST) , offering us some inspiring ideas and thoughts about the sociological property and complexity of translation.
