Abstract

Since MTI program aims at cultivating advanced professional translators and interpreters in various specialties, the written translation teaching practice should focus on developing students' translator competence, with a view to improving their various abilities and translation knowledge. It comprises three parts: task-based translation reading and discussion to improve students' cross-cultural communication; skill-based translation workshop to enhance students' translation competence; project-based translation practice to cultivate students' sense of professionalism.
