Abstract

 Dirk Delabastita is professor from Namur University in Belgium and the editor-in-chief of Target, an internationally renowned journal on translation studies. He mainly conducts research on humor, pun and Shakespeare translation; and as the editor-in-chief of Target, he has accumulated tremendous experience in reviewing and publishing articles on translation studies. In this interview, Prof. Delabastita mainly presents the historical background of Target, aspects that should be paid attention to for submission and the process of article reviewing and publishing; at the same time, he also provides his own insights on how to promote Chinese translation studies research on the international stage. It is hoped that this interview can help translation studies researchers in China better understand the mechanism of international translation studies journal and promote the stepping out of Chinese translation studies researches.
