Abstract

Russian research on Chinese classical literature attracts worldwide attention. In fact, their translation and research on Chinese modern and contemporary literature are similarly remarkable. In spite of ups and downs, Russian translation and research get contact with Chinese modern and contemporary literature. The uneven warm-and-cold relationship has never been stopped for Russian close-and-distant, approving-and-critical attitude toward Chinese modern and contemporary literature. The object of Russian translation and study involves in both eminent writers and works rarely mentioned in China. Some of their research viewpoints are of unique insights. In retrospect of Russian selection and research on Chinese modern and contemporary literature, it will presumably afford reference to us Chinese literature writers, translators and researchers, and reflection on the going-out-strategy of Chinese culture.
