Abstract

Educational Informationization has become the main theme of the reform and development of education in high academies. The Deepening Reform of College English Teaching requires the deep integration of foreign language teaching and modern information technology in high academies, of whose indicators college English teachers’ educational technology ability is the most important one. With the goal of providing relevant data and analysis for the formulation and implementation of College English Teaching Guide, The Questionnaire on The Present Situation and Development of College English Teachers' Educational Technology Ability under the Background of Educational Informationization is compiled according to school-based situation in Nanjing local colleges. The following suggestions are obtained based upon the data analysis: 1) to establish and improve the training and learning system of College English teachers’ educational technology ability with its own actual situation; 2) to pay special attention to the integration of educational informationization theory and College English teaching practice in the training setting; 3) to adopt flexible training mode and teaching method; 4) to take the teachers as the subject and duty as the actuation; 5) to establish a learning community composed of subject teachers, educational technology experts and subject experts.
