Abstract

As a term, cultranslatology is a basic concept in metatheory of cultranslatology. Based on analyzing the rising role of culture in translation studies and the different explanations of cultranslation, this paper defines the concept of cultranslation, describes the research scope, discipline status and nature of cultranslatology, and defines the concept of cultranslatology, which establishes an original point of cultranslatology.
