Abstract

The crisis of College English indicates that EGP has been unable to satisfy the need of disciplinary and social development, while ESP curriculum, as an extension of College English facilitates the integration of instructional resources for related discinplines in a university. A survey shows that the interdisciplinary collaboration between Schools of Foreign Studies and Journalism assures the successful practice of bilingual teaching and smooth ESP transition according to the study of Journalistic English. College English teaching and bilingual teaching remains fragmented and uncoordinated in its own way, so this paper comes up with constructive and practical solutions as to how to realize the scientific integration of instructional resources with partial or complete cooperation of college English teachers & specialized teachers for their teaching platform and ESP transformation.
