On “translation and language policy studies” in China: A survey of researches in 2015

Abstract

 Translation is playing an increasingly important role with China's strategic objectives in recent years. Consequently, translation studies in China are found on the threshold of “translation and language policy studies (TLPS).” To outline and observe this new field, the present paper summarizes 185 TLPS articles published in 2015, and concludes that the value of this new field will be realized and recognized for its capability to inform both governmental administrative decisions and strategic cultural initiatives.
