The subjective and objective factors to construct political strategy of cultural translation were analyzed; The theoretical basis of constructing political strategy of cultural translation were elaborated from the aspects of cultural translation theory, intercultural communication theory and interpretation theory; The guiding principles of constructing political strategy of cultural translation were established, and the construction model of political strategy of cultural translation were put forward with the following aspects as the core: “construction of translator’s quality of political strategy of cultural translation”, “selection of translation text”, “cognition, reconstruction and reinterpretation of source text”, “selection of translation strategies”, “selection of target language form” and “conforming to the national language planning and policy”. It is stated that the combination of “flexible translation” and “flexible dissemination” can greatly enhance the acceptance and dissemination effect of Chinese academic translation works abroad.
