The introduction of “the National Criteria” for the Foreign Language Major Programs indicates that China’s Foreign Language Major Programs have entered a new period of development. The purpose of “the National Criteria” is to solve the problem of “identity”. Then, under the context of “the National Criteria for the English Program”, we need to think and reflect the various characteristics of different English major programs in different schools. This paper intends to make a detailed description of the tentative reform in the School of Foreign Studies at the Minzu University of China in recent years, particularly focusing on the new thoughts and practices in teaching, research and other aspects, hoping to provide an example to draw on the reform of today’s English Undergraduate Program in China.
