Abstract

During the transition of college English in Mainland China, this paper proposes an EGAP-based approach by introducing the curriculum construction at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics. By reviewing SUIBE’s experience from the perspectives of needs analysis, four elements of a curriculum and the survey results, this paper is expected to provide theoretical and practical foundations for the construction of an EGAP program for Chinese university students.
