Abstract

This article discusses the maneuverability of translation criticism from the perspective of translator behavior criticism (TBC)through four particular cases, focusing on the relationship between intra-translation and extra-translation, critic and appreciator, self-translation and self-critique, absence and presence. For the critic, a clear awareness of their identity and role positioning will greatly increase the maneuverability and objectivity of translation criticism. This is also the foundation for the construction, and the evaluation of the efficiency, of the translation criticism theory.
