Research on translators’ digital literacy from the perspective of digital humanities: Connotations, problems and suggestions

Abstract

With the global popularity of ChatGPT, digital technology and humanism have become inextricably linked, bringing humanity into a new stage of artificial intelligence (AI) development and highlighting the characteristics of digital humanities in the new era. Starting from the perspective of digital humanities, this article unearths the connotations of translators’ digital literacy and explores its key features and values. By aligning them with the actual needs in translation education and the language service industry, this article further analyzes the main problems encountered in developing translators’ digital literacy. Finally, corresponding countermeasures are proposed as references to support research on translator’s digital literacy, covering government management, educational development, ethical construction, and scientific research.
