Abstract

As one of the research hotspots in China, Translator Behavior Criticism has achieved a rapid progress and earned growing academic attentions. However, referring to the features of translation studies schools, the following several aspects are advised to be properly treated in order to make it a typical school with distinctive properties: 1. Most of the current applied studies haven’t yet as expected contributed constructively to the theory itself;2. The research subjects and horizon are expected to be increased and broadened, thus hopefully to strengthen the theoretical integration with other theories;3. The school members are not in a good balance in terms of contributions to the theory evolution, and the collective potential is in need to be triggered;4. The theory by so far still has a long way to go before making itself an internationally influential theory as its values deserve.
