Abstract

“Translator’s Role Shifting” is one of the key concepts in Translator Behavior Criticism and is the main content in Translator Behavior Studies. This article discusses the translator’s role shifting in the process, the findings of which are helpful for a translator to position them appropriately in “Better Telling China’s Stories” and for an evaluator to come closer to the general aim in the translation criticism practice. This research makes a breakthrough beyond the text-centered tradition.
