This paper provides a historical analysis of the developments of intercultural research and teaching of German language in China. It shows that intercultural german courses are demanded in the new period. Chinese Students, who study foreign languges should have intercultrual competence, in oder to communicate with Foreigners in different situations. Based on the analysis the paper suggests three combinations in this area and these combinations will prove the research on interculatural teaching of German and other foreign languages.
