本文介绍了语用学的新兴研究领域——变异语用学的源起､目标和发展历程,归纳了变异语用学研究的主要内容、议题和方法等,并基于对研究现状的分析,明确了研究议题的拓展方向和研究方法的新趋向。最后,本文从加强学科价值理论探讨、拓展研究议题、丰富研究方法、考察更多话语体裁､关注虚拟空间言语交际等方面对变异语用学的未来研究方向提出了建议。

This paper attempts to depict a full picture of variational pragmatics, a newly-developed research field in pragmatics, with a focus on its origin and development, aims, issues and methods. Based on a detailed review of the literature, this paper summarizes the contributions and limitations of the existing studies, presents new directions on research topics and methods, and finally provides some suggestions for future research on variational pragmatics, i.e.,to enhance its theoretical value, introduce new topics, enrich research toolbox, include more genres and investigate the virtual space communication.
