以国家安全为视角，采取历史文献法，以近代以及新中国成立以来影响中国现代法治建设的几 个历史时期为节点，历时梳理和总结中国法律翻译国家实践的特征，论证法律翻译维护国家安全的本质属性。 百余年间，法律翻译的类型由输入向输出转变。新时代的历史方位下，法律翻译在参与全球治理、抵抗美国法 律霸权、维护国家法律主权和国家安全上发挥着重要作用，国家需要重视提升法律翻译的地位，做好法律翻译 的总体规划。

This article, by the method of historical literature analysis, synchronically investigates the achievements of China’s national program of legal translation from the perspective of national security by probing into several historical periods influencing China’s modern rule of law development, so as to summarize the distinct characteristics of the national legal translation program in different periods and expound its intrinsic nature of safeguarding national security. Over one hundred years, legal translation has witnessed the turn from importing to exporting. In the times of New Era, legal translation plays the vital role in global governance, fighting against American legal hegemony and securing China’s legal sovereignty and national security. The general planning of legal translation should be made with the elevation of its position.
