Based on the collected research articles published in English and Chinese at home and abroad, this paper presents a review of the research scholars have conducted over the past decades on L2 learners’ engagement with feedback on their writing. The review covers publication-related statistical information, subjects and research themes. Potential avenues are suggested for future research to fill the gaps or extend the scope of related study.
